I need your help oppo, I'm about to launch a vlog about beer.. I'm testing my mic.. Can you hear me, and actually understand me? I now I stammer/stutter somewhat in this video.. it's the first video I've ever done, so I'm rather nervous..
I know my english isn't perfect or anything, so I need to adress that.
Edit: Video got flagged for some reason.. so it's gone now

Some hiss/noise in the background, and if could be a bit clearer, but I had no problems with it, especially towards the end when you started to speak a little louder. Drink 2 beers and try again!
Awesome powerstrip!

Yeah, Quality is so-so, but I can hear you and see you plain as day. English is better than the average 'MURICAN though.

Bit of hiss in the background, but otherwise fine.
You have to use that burp as your intro now, you know that right?

It's pretty understandable. Not the most clear, but clear enough. Some of it is probably related to your accent (I'm an American, so any foreign accent is going to be slightly more difficult to understand).

Drink 2 beers? Mate.. I've already had 8 pints.. :P But yeah, I can hear that hissing myself now. I think I need a filter or something, and perhaps NOT be drunk :P
That powerstrip is whats currently giving power to my set up :P I do have another camera recording at 1080p and stuff where you wont see that, but youtube is acting up right now.

Well, I assumed that, just now you need 2 more to relax a bit. Try to keep up??

I think the main problem is that I'm actually rather drunk. But if you can understand me now, then it would never be a problem when I'm sober.

When I get used to this stuff I'll be much better at it I guess. There's a reason I asked Oppo about my audio. I knew i would get proper feedback here. :)

nah. muric... sorry.. Americans are better than me at english, I've got a rather obvious "yuropean accent". I wish I could do this with a south carolinian accent or something.

I can understand you just fine. Sounds a little like a Scottish accent.

Scottish? That's cool :) I hear now that I need a filter for my microphone, but all in all it wasn't that bad. just need to stop stuttering/stammering..

Maybe a blend of Scottish, Irish, English, Welsh, etc. into one. It certainly isn't American, Canadian, or Australian English though.
Just do several takes. As many as you need to get the right video.

I guess it's a rather "british" accent, I grew up with monty... Takes will be taken.. I just needed to know if my microphone did what it should, and it did not. I need to do something with the lights as well. I look fucking sick.. :P

Nahhh you look fine. We are all aware that this isn't a large scale production with set lighting, teleprompters, makeup artists, and broadcast quality cameras with a team of big name video editors and all that jazz.

You're clear enough, and you speak well enough. The question is, will you be talking about any truly interesting beers?

I can hear you perfectly. And understand every word. I would certainly look forward to hearing you talk about alcohol, a topic you appear to be a relative expert on.
Maybe a little tiny bit less drunk, might be good. Or not.

Sound is #1 for vblog or educational videos. The pictures, not as much. The information density is in sound, not video. As a result, you should invest in the *best* sound system you can.
Suggest that if your mike produces hiss, just download Audacity and do the noise reduction thing in post - and there will *always* be post. Don't Ignore This. It works wonders to review what you did. Final Cut and Screenflow also both have noise reduction which can help.
Aesthetic suggestion: make your background be interesting or thematic to your vblog. That power strip behind you looks like the borg. (Check out blue/green screen tech as a background generator? Then it could be a brewery backdrop or whatever.) Or get a good background that is thematic of your topics. Since you seem to be into video, your lighting has GOT to be upped. Plenty of free videos on video lighting.... watch them, absorb what you want to project, and then implement. It's simple and fairly cheap to fix this. I would watch your video based on audio information alone (I like beer), but I'd get sick if I had to watch that green background/blue-purple face for too long. (That's not your real colors, but the comment, boiled down, is: color accuracy is good.) Clear lighting, a good background, a good angle on the camera towards your face, etc. all change the experience of the person. Don't ever use a screen to light, and don't ever look 'up' into your face, not unless you're producing a horror film (google camera angles to faces) . Don't discount this.
The last thing you need to worry about is the accent. Seriously, it's actually a plus that it's not "standard". As long as it is understandable, it's good. The technical production is the issue here, not you.
In my opinion, that is.

I'm no audio whore, so I like the quality just fine. :) Same goes for video, though I almost guarantee the youtube audience will tear you apart if you don't improve it. Especially if you'll be showing beers up close. Better lighting will go miles towards that end.

I be sober as a.. Well, someone sober, when I do the proper videos. I just need to do something about the microphone and stuff first.

The background will be a lot better, so will lighting and sound :) this was a test done on my couch with a macbook, the real video will be done with a proper HD camera and a Blue Yeti in my kitchen, I just couldn't be bothered to set it up properly yesterday. :)
Thanks for the feedback anyway, it helps me think about stuff that needs to be fixed.
